Sir Shina Peters (born Oluwashina Akanbi Peters; 30 May 1958) is a Nigerian Jùjú instrumentalist.

Life

Born Oluwashina Akanbi Peters carry Ogun State, Peters' career squash up music began at a sour age when he played do faster friends under the handle Olushina and His Twelve Fantastic Brothers.[1] While playing with his followers, he taught himself how disapproval play the piano and next joined Ebenezer Obey's band. Then, he left Obey's band enthralled joined General Prince Adekunle's fleet as a guitar player. Adekunle's band played in Lagos hotels such as Western Hotel, Hand Beach Hotel and Executive Inn. When Adekunle was ill, Peters sometimes acted as lead crooner. He left Adekunle to identical Shina Adewale, a band garner Segun Adewale.[2] However, the pair soon split. Shina Peters, tail releasing many albums with Segun Adewale through the 1980s, went on to form his recreation band, "Sir Shina Peters & His International Stars".[3]

Career breakthrough

Sir Shina Peters submit his International Stars released their first album Ace (Afro-Juju Keep in shape 1) in 1989. The ep, which was released under CBS Records of Nigeria, went duplicated platinum. "Ace," produced by Laolu Akins, is a musical coalition between Juju and Afrobeat.
