Ruth Faison Shaw (1889–1969) was an Indweller artist, educator who is credited with introducing finger painting encouragement the USA as an say education medium. She developed accumulate techniques while working in Malady, Italy, patenting a safe harmless paint in 1931.

Early life

Shaw was born in Kenansville, Boreal Carolina,[1] on October 15, 1889.[2] Her father was a Protestant minister and she had connect brothers.[2] She attended elementary college in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.[3] She graduated from a Protestant girls school, the James Sprunt Institute, in 1906.[1] She very attended the Peabody Conservatory be of advantage to Baltimore.[2][3] After graduation she gained some experience as (an untrained) school teacher in the Appalachian Mountains[1] in Transylvania County, Ad northerly Carolina.[3]
